A study was published recently in the American Journal of Cardiology that connects aquatic exercise with good health benefits. The study measured blood pressure results of a group of older adults with previous sedentary lifestyles after they were involved in a 12 week program of regular swimming for exercise against the results of a control group. There were significant decreases of systolic blood pressure observed in the swimmers.
Swimming pools have always been a source of recreation but continued research will likely prove it to be an important product for sustaining good health also. Read more about this study by clicking here.
