How an Inground Pool Works

Inground Pool, Pool WorksRegardless of their shape and size, all swimming pool works in the same way.

Filtration and chemical treatment keep the pool water clean through in the following way:

  1. A pump pulls water from the pool and pushes it into a filter.

  2. Water is filtered and transferred to a temperature control unit (usually a heater).

  3. The water then makes its way into a chlorinator.

  4. Finally, the water is back in the pool after chlorination.

This 4-step cycle is basically how all swimming pool works. It is designed to keep the water clean. Dirt, debris, and bacteria are continually removed from the pool thanks to the combination of filtration and chlorination. PVC plumbing connects all the machinery involved in the process.

Ultimately, the quality of a pool is as good as the efficiency of this system.
